Found me a 79 SCab :) and it's 4x4!

Morning Gents, had a guy I used to work with call me, said he was going to move, and needed to sell his S-Cab,,, 4x4,,, so I said yes!
and it has D60's F & R, not sure if factory or not, will probably go get it this week. Any VIN decoder experts out there?!

Yep! I had asked him about it a few times, and he kept saying he was going to take the axles and scrap the truck, and if I wanted any parts, and I said no, I'm more interested in the whole truck. Fast forward about a year, and I have changed jobs, and I get a call, not knowing the #, but it was local I answered it,,, he says "hey, remember my SCab?" So I stopped by his place and looked at it, took these pictures and we agreed on a price, now I just need to go get it!

Nice score, I still kick myself for passing on a sweet F350 (I think...) Super-Cab 4x4 many years ago. The funds just weren't there.

CONGRATS!!!

On your VIN: "X" means it's a supercab, "26" means it's a 4-wheel drive F250, "S" means it came with a 400 engine, and "K" means it was built in Kansas City.

Funny thing was, I've been looking for a Bronco to take the whole fam-damily up in the high country 4 wheeling where I go hunting, cuz a jeep just won't fit 5 and I just like Fords , so this is a win/win, they can now all come and help me cut wood also AND 4 wheel!
