Rub a good amount of GO-JO hand cleaner into the stain, don't use the kind with pumice, just the plain type. Rub it in good, and go a little farther than the stain is, then drop in the washer.

I don't know if it will work or not.

I have to ask. Why did you set your transmission on your Carhartt?

I have a spray bottle that is a mix of 50% dawn dish soap and 50 hydrogen peroxide mixed up and just spray down any oil and grease on clothes before going in the wash.
Works great.

I recently ended up with a massive oily stain on one of my favorite shirts. I let it soak in a tub of Greased Lightning for several days, rinsed it out with a garden hose, tossed it in the wash. Its as good as new.

I imagine that Simple Green or any of the handcleaners; Go-Jo, Fast Orange, etc would have pretty good results as well.

good luck (next time use cardboard and not your jacket....lol)

I also add baking soda to the wash cycle for oil and grease stains. Seems to help a lot.

Well I had to bring home this cube shelf and the Trans was in the trunk. Not thinking I put my Jacket down on the seat and threw the trans in it and the seal leaked all over

Believe me, there's no grease/oil worse than what you will find on a dragline. Luckily, the mine buys this by the pallet. I've sprayed it on the cable tractor seat that got greasy, came right out. Takes the mess out of jeans and leather gloves. I also spray it on my sweatshirts before the janitors throw them in the laundry.
