Back Again (new truck)

to start off, been a member for a while now. I joined when I had a Kodiak Brown 2013 F150 'base' Lariat SCrew. that truck was a 5.0 with electronic locking 3.31 rear, nothing too special. End the end i decided to be the responsible one and traded her in after my son was born to lower monthly bills. Traded it in on a 2014 Focus ST, and while a very fun little car, I missed my truck.

Fast forward to today, My wife had a 2013 Escape SEL, neither me nor her liked it very much. Very much enjoyed it when it was new, but it wasn't aging well, the 2.0 ecoboost smoked, dealer replaced turbo and that fixed it, however it was starting to smoke again, 3000 miles later. We were offered 22k for it on trade in, and while we owed more than that it wasn't a lot, and the dealer had exactly what I wanted at a good price.

Picked up a 2012 F150 Lariat with all the bells and whistles offered in 2012, Ecoboost, 3.55 electronic locking rear backup camera, heated and cooled leather seats, etc. Truck only has 19k miles on it, was a personal lease truck and was turned in just 2 weeks ago. It's pearl white with a tan interior and dark wood accents. price out the door made me very happy about the purchase and payments are where we wanted them as well. Part of the deal was GAP insurance, the dealer offered a Ford backed lifetime warranty on powertrain and a in-house lifetime 100k mile bumper to bumper. covers everything down to the smallest interior trim pieces should anything happen.

Anyway, this evening roughly 7 hours after purchase i got to try out the roadside assistance... Battery had a cell fail i'm guessing. can jump it off with no problem and she runs perfectly. drove it the 45 minutes home with lights flickering, puled in the driveway parked and cut her off. tried to restart immediately after and nothing, dead. the lights will turn on, bright as they should. but as soon as you try to start the truck you're met with a click from the starter as well as all the interior relays clicking away for about 30 seconds then they go quiet and the interior lights come back on. keyless entry works, however when you lock the doors with the fob the horn sounds 2-3 times quickly.

I replaced it this morning after speaking to dealer contact. They will be reimbursing me for the price of the battery. Put a motorcraft back in it, shouldn't have an issue there. Just don't have the time this week to get to the dealer.
