What programs are out there? Google is about useless for this.

Last weekend I finally got to bring home my 03 X.
The previous owner is a buddy of mine. He did headers, cold air intake and this programmer. On either economy tune 1 or 2 (87oct) or the performance tune, (also 87) it didn't feel like it should drive like it should. I played with it one night on the performance tune and got it to drive pretty nicely, as I recall I played with the timing side of things. Global +4. Higher RPM -1. The other 2 RPM selections are at 0.

Any advise here guys? I've been a diesel performance guy for the last 15 years. While I work on cars for a living... I don't get into the performance side like this.

 

Id take it out and call Mike at five star and see if he can look up the tune of not he'll write you a new one and email it to you and you can upload it and that sucker will haul then!

I asked for an Economy Tune, Tow Tune, and Performance Tune. Now to wait and see what his pricing is like! LOL

 

He sent me tunes and the tuner for my 5.4 then a couple months later I did a gear swap and wanted to discuss a couple things I'd like to change. I'm not gonna say exactly what he charged me but it was between 20-50 dollars
