I'll start off by saying that I'm getting a code reader in the next day or two. The check engine light is on. I already know the exhaust manifold is cracked, but I'm hoping the computer will spit a few more codes out too. I wanted to see if anyone has had this problem before and had a lead on a solution.
I have to hit the gas when starting the truck cold or it will just crank, and if I don't let it warm up, it'll stall when I try to put it in gear. It's not a sputtering going-down-with-a-fight stall, it just quickly and very cleanly cuts out. Any ideas?
I have carb cleaner for the IAC, but haven't had the spare moment to give it a good cleaning. Spark plugs and cables are new. Alternator is new. Battery is new. Fuel filter is new. Seafoamed the injectors. I'm convinced it's a fuel or air related issue. I'm also CONVINCED the fuel pumps are original. But I thought that the problem would get worse when I hit the gas if the pump is going out? It was an old company truck I found in a farm town. It never dies when warm.
Give me a shout out and tell me what ya think!
