have a potential truck that i might buy, 2001 f350 6 speed standard cab 8 foot bed.was rolled and center section is damaged on cab only. this is just for a basic work truck purpose. I have a cab from a 2004 f550 that is standard cab although this is a a/t cab so the best option wold be to use the roof components from donor cab. Is the center sin glued onto the crossbows undersside or is this a cut and weld approach? any help appreciated!. Ron

 

I would visit a high-end/high volume body shop (in person) and ask them how they would fix it (and incidentally, how the skin is attached to the side panels). You might get some great advice, depending on the shop's desire to help you.

 

good idea steve, i do have the spare cab just sitting in the woods. i might
remove the headliner and inspect design and construction as well.
