Cool Need help code p0500!!!

I have a 2007 6.0 with 147xxx! The speedo quit when I replaced encoder motor.
Codes are p0500 a vss sensor replaced that still have code and no speedo, cruise,
Or odometer. Checked wiring it's fine! Is their any fuses or relays or something I'm missing?? Checked all normal fuses! Did replace 2 relays which were to the encoder motor! It's really getting annoying! Just heads studs and etc done. Thanks!

How did you check the wiring? Continuity? Short to ground? Short to power?

Unplugged the sensor and jacked the rear end up and put volt meter at the end of the plug.

I don't know what you would see doing this that could tell you if there was anything wrong or not.

The right way to do it is to unplug the harness at the PCM and the VSS and test both wires for continuity, short to ground, and short to power.

Note: NEVER push a probe into the end of the sensor. This is an excellent way to create a problem where one didn't exist before. This can spread open the female plugs so that the male plugs never make contact. Always probe a connector from the wire side, not the connection side.
