I have a 97 f250 7.3 e4od, equipped with a ts 6 and a banks trans command. (I am told by previous owner that the tunes on the truck are all strictly engine and non tranny tunes due to the trans command)

I will try to explain my problems as short as possible here.

For no reason at all, does NOT matter what setting I have the ts 6 on, the tranny will act up and shift rough, prolong shifts, and overall be more torqy and jumpy, and has what feels like a drag when I let off the throttle. And other times the truck will shift beautifully, be smooth on and off the throttle and just even over sounds better like it's healthier.

But what's weird is when it's bad, it will be bad for the rest of the day and when it's good it will be good for the rest of the day. It's almost like its something small and easy like electrical or something. I'm newer to diesels and not big on Trannys so any help is majorly appreciated!! But I sincerely feel like this is just a small issue and not a big problem being with how sometimes it's perfect and sometimes it's not. It pretty much has its good days and it has it bad day. Does the OD light flash ?

Sounds like a bad connection from the trans commander or the commander it self is acting up or going bad.

 

Just got my 96 7.3 back from the tranny shop they rebuilt it ,no od flash,some days it will slam into 2nd &3rd some days it wont. took it back said trans checked good.said turbo charger boost sensor cir a,internal control module kam error,turbo charger boost sensor a cir low,internal control module rom error .they said that was causing the trans to shift hard I don't know ? oh by the way this makes # 6 trans the truck only has 506,000 mi on it

 

OD light does not flash. Is there anyway to tell if the trans command is taking a **** other than by passing it? I don't understand the trans command very well
