351w 1969 Torino

I found a truck I was interesting in buying and he says he has a 351W 1969 Torino engine in it .030 bored and I was curious if anybody has any facts or thoughts about the engine and maybe if its worth picking up. Thanks for the read

'69 wasn't a bad year for the 351W so I wouldn't let that engine choice stop me. It's really more about how the rest of the truck is (and what it is.)

Recently detailed, New carpet, 4-inch suspension and 3.5-inch body lift, Has a 351W from 1969 Torino bored .030, Has Edelbrock performer intake, Edelbrock 650 thunder series carburator, Ford racing turbo swirl heads, 1.6 Rocker arms, Howards cam 227/282 duration .563/.572 lift, Petronix flame thrower 2 ignition with second strike box, Aluminum 3 core radiator, Stainless radiator hoses, Headman long tube headers with glass packs, New alternator and power steering pump, Transmission is from a 1984 f150 with 80k on it, Axles are from a 80s bronco that have 60k on them with 3.73 gears front and back rear end is posi, Has Warn lock out hubs, Has new front fenders, New tailgate, New paint, Dual gauge pod with water temp and oil pressure auto meter gauges, Summit racing multi color tack, New pioneer 6x9s in the doors, AC has been removed but the heater works great, Has 33/12.5/15s with 5k miles on em and comes with a set of winter tires also, Spray in bedliner, Mechanically sounds, Runs and looks great, A MUST SEE!

That's a lot of cam for a pickup. I'd be concerned with those lift figures too as far as spring bind goes. Not many factory springs can handle that kind of lift. He'd have had to change the springs the heads came with to handle that lift. He also severely limited the top end with that intake and carb. As for the year thing ? That makes little difference now as everything's been changed as far as internals go, except for the crank and rods. 351W blocks were all pretty much equal in terms of strength.
