2005 6.0 turbo failing?

How can I tell if the turbo is going? it has a whirl noise after warm up. Boost seems a little slow and seem to have more noise comming from the air filter inlet. I put the Auto Enginuity on and have no codes.

Ok but what values are you seeing for boost;map;maff;ebp;baro?
Did you check the air side of the turbo for play in the wheel, vane condition?

You might also want to check for any leaks. Esp. pre turbo that could let crap get into the intake.

FICM 48.30, turbo Vanes 75% (yellow) at idle went to 40's and green with throttle up. MAF was green, baro 14.2., battery 13.3(yellow) The AE would not cooperate, would not let me select individual data points and would suddenly zero. Will ask them about that. Wondering if the FICM is causing the problem as the truck immediately died after start up and no throttle control.
