spark plugs for triton 5.4

I had done some research on changing the sparks plugs and decided to take it to a shop to have them done. All my plugs are broke. The number 4 plug has pulled the extraction tool into the hole and won't come out. The number 5 plug the pin stayed in the bottom part of the ceramic and has fallen down on top of the piston. I'm being told it would be cheaper to replace the engine than to have it taken apart and try to retrieve the plugs. This is beyond my knowledge. Would it be possible to take the heads off and retrieve the broken plugs or would it be cheaper to replace the engine.

That sounds like a pain. I wish I knew the answer for you. I think you will have some better luck re-posting your questions on one of the forum sections specific to your vehicle. Good luck,
