play in steering and a groan
Hi guys,
I have a 2001 f350 super duty. Whenever I turn lately there is a groan. There is about an inch of play in the steering wheel also he wanders to the right.
I crawled underneath and the draglink looks pretty screwed up where it connects to the pitman arm. I'll link to a video.
The end that connects into the tie rod?? is dry but it still wiggles. Do I have to replace the whole draglink? Or can this be salvaged somehow with a cheap method like replacing those seals and regreasing it?
Also at the end of the video that bolt is the last part of the adjuster on the tie rod before the end connects to it. Basically heading over towards the drivers side front tire. Does that bolt look belt to ya'll? Should it be?
Another issue I'm having is when I turn left and kind of up the driver side back end wants to slide around or lose traction. The tires are pretty new and have good tread. What's the deal with that?
One more thing. This is going on with my driver side wheel. These little seals seem to be out on both sides and there is some dark discoloration on the wheel back here like some stuff leaked out on it maybe?
Anyway I finally have a parts budget so hopefully you guys can tell me what to start replacing. Thanks a lot for your time.
