Looks like Dexter EZlube axles or some variation of. Use a manual hand pump grease gun with a high quality bearing grease.

spin the wheel as you pump...but not too many pumps of the gun.

Thanks for the explanation but I tore all the hubs down and greased the bearings by hand and installed all new grease seals.

Thanks for all the input
I towed the trailer with my F100 on it from Laramie to Detroit and back without any problems. My F150 5.0 FX4 got 11.3 mpg heading east which is slightly downhill with a slight tail wind, then it got 10.5 coming back west going uphill and into the wind. I was glad I put the new tires on the truck when I hit a tremendous downpour coming back. The road was covered with water and I slowed down because I could only see about 20 yards. That amount of rain didn't seem to phase others who came flying by me, so I ended up with the flashers on to help others realize I wasn't a full speed.

Next time I would skip the E-Tracks and use a wheel net or strap around the suspension.

When I haul a vehicle, I usually go around the axle(s) and then I also strap the body/frame down as well if possible. It keeps the vehicle suspension from bouncing and tossing weight around.

Like on a pickup, big straps over the axles and then the smaller 1-1/2" 3,000lb straps to pull the frame down. This also loads the suspension and helps keep the tires planted on the deck.

Yeah, I noticed that the body was almost constantly bouncing around a little bit. I think it finished off the shocks while sitting on the trailer...they were looking and feeling a bit soft already. I think your idea of also strapping down the body would have helped.

Thanks

Axle almosts looks like someone tried to make a normal axle an ez lube or an imitater. Unless dexter changed their design for the 7k (heaviest dexter I've greased is a 6k)
Tow straps should be fine but my dad had one break on him before towing a car. So he always used chains. So I always use chains if its on a flatbed and has tires.
also strapping down from the frame will stop the body roll. Not a big deal there are advantages and disadvantages to each from what I understand. The AAA trucks and others normally use a chain or 2 and i think they go from the tires and control arms. I go with whats easiest, normally/ hopefully the frame

Remember also that while the tires are rated for 12K they are not carrying 100% of the load, the tongue is also carrying weight so you do have some leeway.

Those E-Tracks are not designed for the use you are putting them to. I have seen them tear out from a lot lighter load than you are using them for, they can handle enough weight but they do not take shock loads well and using them as tie downs you will have significant shock loads on them. I have seen them tear out when used in trailers when the load was not strapped quite enough with less then a 1K skid that tipped sideways and that was not even close to their capacity.

The test isn't normal towing, it's what happens during emergency maneuvers, sudden;y really rough road or in the event of an accident
