7.3 f150?

I own a 2001 f150 xlt supercrew 5.4 4x4. I am wondering if it would even be possible to put a 7.3 powerstroke in it. I understand it would not be cheap and easy but that's not my consern. If I got a donor f250 Would it be possible to swap motor, Trans, t-case, axles. I would imagine I need to shorten drive lines. Please let me know. I would love to make this happen.

Anything can be done with the right amount of knowledge, tools, parts, and ambition. Without being rude, this is a time where I would say "if you need to ask, this job is not for you".

I think it may be easier to swap the body from the Supercrew over to the frame bearing the 7.3L diesel. Perhaps way less work that way.

There is not one similarity between the modular engines and the 7.3L diesel, meaning that no operating parts of the current truck could be reused.

Good luck if you disembark on this journey!!

If you have enough time and money ANY engine can be made to work in ANY vehicle.

Fix up the F250. It will be cheaper and much less hassle.
Good luck.
