Spark Plug Wire Looms 96 5.0

Just replaced my plugs/wires. Used the Ford Racing 9mm wires (certainly not an exact fit by the way - wires are longer than stock).
Anyway both of the 2-wire looms on the valve cover bolts broke. Also all of the stock looms seem a tad tight - probably not designed for the 9mm wires.
Can anyone recommend a replacement loom that attaches to the valve cover bolt like the stock looms? I haven't even figured out how the stock ones are attached.
I just saw Steve's page that says they're on with "T-Studs."

...so maybe they slide off, like the 4-wire rocker cover looms?
The closest I have come to what they look like are the Dorman 40289.
Dorman Products - 40289
Anybody know if these fit the same?
Any other suggestions?
Thanks.

Well, the orig wires are 7mm perhaps, 8 maybe? I used wire ties with my FRPP 9mm's. Use a 7-8 inch loop around all 4 wires on one side, then smaller 4 inch ties around the main loop (then 3, then 2 similar to the Super Motors illustration) to seperate the individual wires. Gradually tighten them a bit at a time, but not enough to dimple/constrict the wire sheath. You can then use a small tie to attach the new loom "holder" to the "T" studs.

The original wire holders had a hole running down their full length, but those Dormans look a bit fat in the hole size.

Wherebouts are you up north? Nice Supercab by the way, like the color, be great to see a full size pic.

Scndsin, Yeah, I remember seeing the zip-tie solution somewhere. Might have to look into that.
Do the stock vertical ones pull up to get them off (in case I decide to try the Dorman's out)? After I saw Steve's page I got to thinking maybe they slide off sideways (haven't been back out to re-try yet). Initially I tried pulling up and couldn't get anywhere. Didn't want to break anything.

I'm up in Southaven by the way. I picked up that truck on ebay from Indianapolis. And it looks alot better in that little picture, believe me! That's one of the pics from the ebay post - I don't think I took any of my own yet.
I used to have one just like yours (94 SC 2wd), except had the six cyl. It got nailed twice on the rt side, second time the insurance totaled it.

OK I looked at the SM illustration & I just happened to pick up my stock VC this AM too. I see what they call a T stud vs what I was thinking of as a stud mounted holder (IE similar to the Dorman part)...

I might have those (the holders) in a junk box, although it might be possible to carve on a hunk of plastic for the T stud with a dremel, then do the zip tie, or either glue a holder onto a replacement loom part to get it in the stock location.

I searched for a month to find my 94 & had to drive to Warner Robbins GA to get it. Thought a 94 5.8 was MAF... would have killed to find a 95-96 5.8 SC, 2WD.

The MS chapter has a couple nice guys up that way. Classic year guys. Stop by our BS thread & say hello sometime.
