I have tried everything to get the signal light to work..I have power cause the parking light come on but can not get the signal light to work..so I thought maybe I could replace the socket..but not sure how to get it out. Twigs, I don't think so. There are 2 hot wires going to the socket, one for the parking the other for the turn. Try swapping the bulb from the other side if it works, could be the bulb. Try cleaning the contact point it could be dirty. Do you own the ice pick looking circuit tester? You can place the point in tight places to see if you have current or not.

Don't give up yet.

Do the rear turn signals lamp work? If not, maybe the flasher is bad.

on this subject, is a bum flasher a possible cause of non working turn signals? The system is also blowing 14a fuses.

Socket with wires swaged into lamp body (13206 right/13207 left), could not be replaced by itself.

Which side do you need? Park lamp body may be available NOS

have you tried just pushing in the wires from the back (without the light in it). the little brown piece in the assembly should push out the front and you can check the continuity of the wires. you might just need to solder the wire back in place.

Yes, because 1961/64 parking lamps are completely different and are located within the grille itself.

1965/66 parking lamps are located in the panel above the grille...known as the upper grille panel.

The pic in post #6 is from the 1964/72 truck catalog. Notice that the caption in the upper pic that shows the lamps says 1965/66.
