Show Your Truck W/ Bumper Pull Camper Here....

Understand. I don't have as large a trailer as you, but I traded in my 2005 5.4L F150 for a 2014 F150 EB with the HD pkg. My payload went up 800 pounds. It's 2286# now. I wouldn't have traded in my 2005 if I couldn't have gotten the HD pkg.
The Ecoboost has plenty of power and it tows very nice on flat smooth roads. Throw a little wind or bumpy roads in and its the tail wagging the dog. The truck has the tow pkg. not the max tow so my payload is only 1490 lbs. Hook the trailer up (1050-1100 lb tongue weight), put my wife and I and the dog in the truck and we're bumping on the payload max. I want to be able to load my bed racks on with a kayak, stand up paddle boards, take a couple of people along, etc. and not worry about loading. The F-250 will have more payload left after the trailer is hooked up than the F-150 has in total. The F-150 has 90,000 miles, time for a change

Nice setup mikereidjr. We are going to pick up a 2015 F-250 just like yours on Friday to replace our 2011 F-150 Ecoboost. Our trailer is the Jayco version of your floorpan (see post #13 in this thread). The weights etc. are very similar, how does the F-250 Gasser do pulling the trailer?

I love my truck, I don't regret not getting the diesel. The truck has plenty of power to pull the trailer, I have just got my hitch dialed in right.
I average about 9.5-10mpg on the hwy pulling the trailer. I am always at 65mph or lower, any faster and I will pay for it in MPG. I was looking at the F150 EB MaxTow, it is what I really wanted, but I pulled my trailer with it and no matter what (it is my opinion) it pulled just like a 1/2 ton and figured if I was buying a new truck I was going to go 3/4.
