2010 6.4 auto to manual trans. swap?

So I have a 2010 6.4 f350 4x4 crew cab fully loaded. Due to the previous owners lack of intelligence involving a DPF delete, the engine is toast, at 120,000 km (75,000 mi.)

Donor truck is an '09 f350 4x4 single cab short box. Plain jane work truck with a standard transmission.

The plan, complete engine/tranny swap. All in one piece straight across.

Obviously I have to mount the clutch pedal, which from a quick eyeball looks pretty close to bolt on. The doghouse shouldn't be a problem, the center console will have to be moved back, I've got a pretty good PSD specialist to help me and I'm pretty good with a wrench myself.

my questions are regarding electronics in the truck. Is it possible to drop it in with minimal swapping of electronics (body modules, gauge clusters, steering wheel and column, engine and tranny wiring harnesses and modules)? Or is this swap going to require every nut and bolt from. The donor? And if I use he donors ecm (being plain jane truck) will it be compatible with all the body modules and other harnesses?

Has anyone ever done this on a 6.4? my friend did it on a 6.0 but it was two virtually identical trucks where as I have two polar opposites with only the engine in common.

Any and all help is appreciated, thanks in advance guys n gals!

Manual trans cab

Hello I saw a post you made awhile back on a swap on 2010 with a donor truck that was 2009 reg cab with manual transmission do you by chance have any info on that swap. What did you have to do to the floor pan for floor shifter on the center tunnel. I have to change a rusted single cab and having a problem finding a cab for manual trans. Any possible info you can share would be greatly appreciated Thank Jeff

If you have the old cab take the carpet/mat out and measure where your going to have to put the hole in the tunnel. The 4wd lever hole was already there, covered over, when I did my 2w to 4w conversion. I don't remember a plate over the shifter hole but I'll bet there is marks or indents that show where the shifter boot holes are and you just cut 1/2 or 3/4" inside of those holes. To me the shifter hole is really the last of your headaches.

1 better, here is what a 09 no mat looks like. So no hole here for a man trans, BUT I do think those marks on the front of the tunnel mark out where the hole is supposed to be.

The original cab is auto but the truck spent time in Michigan so I’m looking for another cab and bed because I’m not paying 75000 for a new piece of crap fly by wire don’t want to have to deal with that I want minimum electronics. Ford couldn’t make it easy like my 78 f250. I found a cab just didn’t want to spend the money if it wouldn’t work if I can get 100% verification that the zf6 will fit in the tunnel the hole shouldn’t be an issue. The cab I found is clean title never wrecked and not a bad price and it’s 10 minutes from my house. Did you implant the motor and trans that you talk about in thread

I had a 5.4 with the 5r110 so I unbolted the 2wd snout from the tranny and bolted on the 4wd case adapter and shaft from the donor then the transfer case just bolts on and used the rear driveshaft. The diesel front shaft is longer for some reason so I had to buy a new, short shaft for my gasser. Now maybe the floor pan area of the cab is different for the manual (bigger hump or something), that I can't tell you, but ford has 2 part numbers for the floor pan 7C3Z2511000A for man 7C3Z2511000B for auto
