Good morning Scott, and Vermont, frost on the grass? and Jim's garden? This morning? Have a great day guy's I'm off to get a fishing licence, as I am going out tomorrow. So have a great day and remember what this weekend is about! If you served thank you, If you didn't enjoy your BBQ. I learned it's not for everyone, like it used to be. Say a prayer for those who made the ultimate sacrifice, and for the ones who were wounded still to this day. God Bless All!

Shawn, with the pace you have been doing why aren't you dead? you gotta have ten years on me! you should have gone to the train station and picked up a mexican. 50 dollars and lunch they will give you 12 hours. Oh your in Vermont forgot you dont have illegals at the train station that swam your truck when you pull up. Sorry forgot, but it's great for me.

Good morning woodchucks. I am too old for this Dave. I hurt all over this morning. One thing I notice is my hands and fingers are really stiff after pulling wire and twisting wire nuts all day. Almost like arthritis but it gets better as the day wears on. Cool and sunny here now, going to be a pretty day. AS Dave said, thanks to all who have served, especially those who gave all or are still wounded today.

Morning Pat. Last night was my big push to finish all the new circuits. GMP shows up June 1 to energize the new panel and put in the new lateral so I am done until they show up. Then I'll start to pull and replace the old cables once the new circuits are energized - can't really turn everything off on the old system until then. I get to take a week's vacation! Going to stack wood today. Four and a half cords waiting for me to stack it up. No real rest for the weary but at least outside in the fresh air.

We occaisionally talk about moving into a condo or some sort of senior community - that conversation lasts about 10 minutes and we both shake our heads - too stubborn and old fashioned to hang out with a bunch of civilized old farts!

I just got the inside scoop on our first aid squad selling there older ambulance. I made a offer and they accepted it. 1997 F-350 IDI 7.3 52,000 miles 283 hours on the drive train, mint condition. (kept inside all it's life) air suspension in the rear, 400 amp alternator done right, not a spec of rust anywhere on this thing, has all the light bars, strobes ect. they are not even going to bother taking them off. interior mint, power windows, locks ect. $4,500 bucks 141 wheelbase. I have to buy this thing, I can strip it for parts if I want, maybe donate it to a Vermont First aid squad that doesn't have to much, we did it years ago with a 1977 hann fire truck, and they were over whelmed with it. Have to do the research and see who would be in need of a newer ambulance. unless you guy's know of some one. may Jim would by it. it was maintained way to often but that's the fire and first aid, it has to go, cant break down. never seen diesel motor oil look like you just put it in with out starting it. Pictures available upon request

Yup, we're too old school for most of these places: both retired military, use "colorful" language on occasion, dress in jeans, flannel shirts, whatever most of the time, still stand up and salute when the flag goes by, still consider duty, honor, country as a way of life not just words; use guns, like fast cars, drink a little once in a while (whiskey and bourbon, not wine and wine coolers with fancy names like Happy Lemons), hunt and fish, etc. How the hell would we fit in to a retirement community????
Hell of a deal Dave. Would make a fun camper - can't believe they aren't removing the lights and siren but what the heck, we'll know when you're in the neighborhood.
