How to identify year of vehicle

I have had this pickup for over 30 years and I still don't know if it is a '65 or '66. It is an F-250 4X4. How can I tell?

The grill on the 66 looks like what I have. Thanks a bunch. I drove this for years, then we just made it a ranch truck. My older son started driving it to school, then we parked it. Now my youngest wants to drive it to school, so I am thinking of maybe fixing it up a bit. Starting to search for a new seat, dash, etc.

The grille could have been changed. Post up the VIN and some pictures and we (them, not me) can tell you a lot more.

Oh, and did I mention to post some pictures?

Well now that I have the year, where is a good place to get parts? I need a headliner and the upholstered part of the dash.

Carpenter has both, but the padded dash will be expensive. dennis-carpenter.com - 800-476-9653 (Concord NC).

AFAIK, Carpenter buys the dashes from Just Dashes located in Van Nuys CA

Carpenter is the largest reproducer of Ford truck parts.

So here is the seat. I wonder if someone re- upholstered this at one time, as I can't find a reference to this material anywhere.
