Sean,
Vocabulary building time:
Last Sunday you used a term to describe the naturally-occurring leaf-dying at the bottom of a tomato plant.
What was the term you used?

Thanks, Sean! Probably more than I wanted, but plenty-thorough.
Picked and ate my first tomato today, a Stupice (Stu-peech-ka).
Home-grown tomatoes taste the best!

I remember those Helm's bakery trucks coming by my house as a kid. Didn't look like the ones in the documentary though. Looked more like Chevy panel trucks.

Whittier finally made some decisions about saving water, according to the paper this morning.
We will be restricted to landscape watering 3 days per week. And your 3 days of the week will be determined by your street address, odd or even.
I only water 2 days a week anyway, except during bad heat waves I might bump it up to 3.
That was their only action. Nothing about saving certain percentages, or any other restrictions. It's a good thing we don't pay them much.

Hi guys.
Back from Mexico.
Stayed in the town of Loreto. Great little town. Old world Mexico still.
My friends and I have a competition every year for the biggest fish.
I won for the fifth year in a row with this beauty.
It's a thresher shark. Took over an hour to land. Then released it as they are protected.

Yup
I could not believe that his hide lasted in a tug of war for over an hour.
Tough hide.
Threshers stun their prey with their tail first. I think that's what happened. He smacked the mackerel then turned to eat it and I set the hook and snagged him.
We were in a school of yellowtail.
We had to release him but I fear he was shark food after.
To bad, beautiful fish.

Sharks will eat anything edible.
They're REALLY not too fussy.
It how they've been long-term survivors.
