Wow Sean I clicked on your seismic link I had no Idea of all the resent activity we don't really feel anything down here in the valley , I sure did when we lived over in Livermore though, Nice Hogs B-pounds whatcha going to do make Carnitas or Hog back bacon , better yet linqeisia ( spelled wrong )

Our rates are going up, but that was planned anyway. The 100yo systems in Whittier need a lot of updating.
Have not heard a word from the city about limits on water usage, or anything to do with the drought. I keep expecting to receive something, but nothing yet. According to the paper, Whittier is expected to cut back 20%. Not sure about how they will measure that. Until I know how they plan to calculate that 20%, we are using water just like we have in the past.
Whittier has a lot of water rights and city owned wells, since it has been incorporated for so long. We actually sell water to surrounding cities every year.

That is cool that you have not felt the pinch of the drought yet. We are being told not to water our lawns, or driveways, take shorter showers etc. And Fresno has to cut back 25% of their water use.

I would guess that it is cheaper to run a road train that it is to contract out to a railway company. I have an Aussie friend who used to be a road train driver, he is disabled now, but he used to love driving those monsters. look like giant caterpillars snaking around the outback.
