Back on the horse... TCI MustangII IFS kit

I know, I know... its a loaded question thats impossible to answer. Just wanted to hear your experiences.

I've had a 54 F100 frame off project sitting in the garage for 5 years that has survived 3 house moves and a divorce. She has waited patiently. So I have decided that this truck deserves reassembly!

I have a stock rolling chassis with complete drivetrain (although making some changes there too). I've decided to rebuild this baby with comfort and reliability higher priority list.

The MII IFS kit (thinking of buying it from MidFifty) would be a good starting point. I have access to a good frame welder friend, but was wondering how long it typically takes to weld these in? Drivetrain will be out. This sounds like an 8 hour day, presuming no disasters. Thoughts?

Some project shots included....

Once you clean the paint off and clean up all areas to be welded it should not take but a couple hours you have to measure naturally but I had mine done with in about 3 hours and that was with a guy that builds street rods for a living. After all that you just bolt together and stand back and admire

I would plan on two guys taking a weekend to install the suspension if you have some experience and a good welder. It actually takes much longer to do the measuring and prep than the actual welding. I had mine measured and prepped, a friend came over and we welded everything in about 4 hours. Hope this helps.

Awesome, thats exactly what I was looking for!

Fast Forward to the stand back and admire phase.
