Morning everyone.

What a beautiful start to the day. On our way up to Vermont my oil change light came on, so I figured that I would get it changed on Tuesday. But all of a sudden last night while out started the truck and the new message no longer read soon it read now. Put in a call to Monaco waiting for a call back.

It will be fine until Tuesday, John. A couple hundred miles isn't going to make a huge difference. The engine has no way of knowing the condition of the oil, so it uses some sophisticated programming to guess when it needs a change. But it's just an educated guess.

Thanks I didn't know that. I figured at some point it would just shut down. The oil light came on just as we were leaving so it got 7 hour total driving at about 65 mph (450 miles approx.)

Thanks for the kind words guys. Busy weekend ahead for us. Been a busy week already. Moving day is tomorrow, so it's been packing things up most of the week. Still plenty to do, but should go fairly smoothly. Cali thinks differently, but she doesn't do well with any kind of pressure. At least not in her personal life. Oh well. All will be well. Have a great holiday weekend guys!

Morning Andy and everyone.

Good sleeping weather here at the campground. Kept hearing the furnishes going on and off in the other campers all night. Still got a good nights sleep.

Hoping everyone has a good Memorial Day weekend. I just started the smoker for big juicy pork ribs.

Good morning everyone.

Good luck with the move Josiah, that's never a fun time. Yesterday I took the boat down to the river for a quick ride from Hartford to Rocky Hill and back. Hope to bring the family out tomorrow when it warms up.

I get some really funny looks pulling a trailer that's worth 10 times what the tow vehicle is.

Afternoon guys, hope everyone is having a great weekend! Short work day tomorrow then Monday off for me!

I am contemplating selling my truck again, the original purpose of having it was to be an off road rig, with most of the local trails now gone, developed, shut down or paved smooth roads for the powerlines, there's really not many places to go and off-roading can get expensive quick. Was thinking if I sold it, I might be able to fond a VW westfalia 4x4 van with a bad motor or no drivetrain and really build a nice road trip rig, take me time with it. I miss my old westfalia, wish I had never of sold it!

If you decide to go the VW way let me know. My youngest brother is a VW Bug freak and works at Bug City in Newington and I can have him put the word out.

Real sorry to hear about the chickens Andy. We lost ours last fall and my wife was pretty upset about it. Were the other two okay?
