Are you trying to troubleshoot braking issues or a vacuum leak?

When I bought my recent project the brake pedal would go to the floor and what brakes I had felt "spongy" to the point where the truck really wasn't at all safe. Once I replaced the booster its all perfectly fine. Not sure if you can check to see if their good, it was very obvious in my truck.

I recently had a JY booster that worked perfectly with applied vacuum. Solid. Brakes grabbed hard with little pedal effort.

However, the booster wouldn't release the vacuum and a simple drive around the block resulted in the front brakes almost being locked up... to the point of barely being movable with the pedal matted to the floor.

'Got a remanned booster from RockAuto and all is well.

Only whether it holds vacuum. I suppose the input rod can be stroked to see if the vacuum is released.
