Except for clean out the intake, replace filter and put screen on is there anything else I should do to vehicle now to fix or prevent any further damage? I was thinking of checking plugs.

Yep...but there's also such a thing as over-thinking a problem.

Squirrels...
I think instead of "Air Filter Housing," I'm gonna call mine, "Squirrel House."

You need one of these signs in your yard.

Sure, and when the available FACTS change, so does everything else.

Gotta have air, fuel and spark for an engine to run. Pretty hard to guess that a critter would make a nest that would block the air. I'd bet your original thinking was that a critter had chewed wiring, not the air filter.

So ran the Navigator today on highway. Seems to be lacking power, and gets a bad shack around 80-85KM. I am guessing some of the debris got sucked in through the throttle body. Is there anything I can do to clean out where it would have got sucked to. I am taking it clogged up on or two plugs. Any advise?

If it was me, I would probably spend 60-70 dollars and buy a bore scope. Maybe from Amazon or Ebay or something. There's some cheap basic bore scopes that are basically cameras on a stick that you can connect to an Android device or similar with Bluetooth and get the image up on the screen there. Then take out the spark plugs and check the cylinders. Try to blow them out with compressed air if you have a compressor and an air gun.

Next step from there would be to remove the intake manifold to clean it and check the intake ports in the heads to make sure there's no debris in there. It's not too difficult if you have some basic mechanical skills and know how to properly torque down the intake so the gasket can seal properly.

The shaking is probably a misfire, which could be related to the broken wire you found on that fuel injector you posted in a different thread.

K probably pick up a scope and at least look in the throttle body. Also should pick up a can of Mass Air Flow Sensor Cleaner since that's exactly where they built the nest, probably got allot of residue on the wire when I started the truck with all that insulation in there.

And you'd be correct as most critters would chew wires long before nesting in the air duct. But either way, it was something that happened while he was away and the truck sat.

Well spent the day cleaning the IAC and the throttle body. Helped alot calm the engine down. I am thinking last thing I should do is seafoam the engine. I know I am suppose to put it in the vacume hose of the brake booster. Anyone have a pic of this location?

Also that little **** was back up my intake last night. Only nibbled the edges, I solved him this time.

Any help with the seafoam would be appreciated.

Good one! That ought to keep him out. But who'd-a thunk a person would have to do all this because of squirrels.

Any vacuum port can work. People say that the easiest one is the tube where the brake booster line attaches. Just put it in gradually, and you should have sparkly pistons, valves, etc.
