db readings with and with out 2 stroke oil.

Here is an update to db readings. I kept the video short.

No additives in one, 2 stroke oil mixed at 1 ounce per gallon in the other.

That was the last of that jug of 2 stroke. I think I will be just going with the Diesel Kleen from here on out.

My weed-eater needed what I had left and I won't be getting
any more for the truck. The feel good factor is not worth the
extra bottle and cost at each fill up for me. I'll stick with the PM-22.

I used the ashless 2 cycle oil and within the first and only tank full with the ashless 2 cycle I lost number 5 injector so I wont be running 2 cycle oil again, perhaps its just a coincidence but perhaps not. I used it at the rate of 1 ounce per gallon.

128:1 seems like a lot of oil. Years ago when I was hot rodding outboards I could go to 150:1 using semi syn TCWII @ 7500 rpm and not stick a piston.

What happens to the cetane rating with TCW oil added to diesel? Is there really a durability or performance improvement, or is the engine just quieter?

From my experience, if you want a quieter engine and improved running quality, replace the injectors if they have more than 150,000 miles. No more additives for me unless I have some serious brain fade and move north where I might need anti gel.

I hear that the diesel in Europe is so much better. Would be nice to get some
to see how well things would work. Or even just some LSD Vs the ULSD we
have now. One had to wonder if the cetane were higher if the would be quitter.
