96 F250 Powerstroke Efuel/wvo conversion
I fiberglassed a piece of luan in the storage pocked of the dash to mount gauge and switches. I painted it all black as the blue was too hard to match.
Gauge for tank in the bed (WVO) D2- WVO- an Purge gauges from over the hill and through the woods.
Hoses in the Valley are Push-lock with Stainless braid held in place by brass ferrules.
Bought a 96 F250 with a WVO setup that wasn't the best case scenario with long purge times that were still ineffective. Before I could do anything else to it, the mechanical fuel pump died on me while I was letting it idle to keep it all lubed up.
I went with the airtex fuel pump for both the WVO and the D2. I removed the fuel bowl from the valley and installed a Fass FPR for each of the fuels and used spin on filters mounted along the frame rail. I installed a Driven Diesel fuel pump wiring harness and an inertia switch from a mustang for safety reasons.
Here's the WVO setup with prefilter and purge valve.
FPR with Gauge installed'
Relays for Fuel pumps and ten second timer relay for purge solenoid. Oh well, the pics keep loading at the top.
The hoses in the valley turned out nice.
I've loomed it all up and zip-tied/insulated all of the hoses to make it look much cleaner. You can see in the valley in one pic where I installed the fitting to replace the mechanical pump connection and the 7/8" freeze plug in the hole. I used a #12 Oring boss adapter and welded a #6 JIC or AN fitting to it to replace the pump connection. I feed WVO to the rear of the heads and D2 in the front with check-valves preventing cross contamination.
