92-93 Cluster swap into a 95 Circuit 608 Air Bag question
I have been Googling throughout the day and cant seem to find an answer. I pulled the tach cluster out of my 92 before selling it with the intention of putting it in my new 95. There seems to be a lot of info on 94-95 to 92-93 swaps but not vice-versa.
I have the harness wiring alterations planned out with the exception of Circuit 608 Air Bag Indicator, since on the 92 cluster that light is the Charging System light there really isn't anywhere for that to go. If I don't connect that to a load will I get a buzzer? like when the cel bulb is pulled or blown? Being that its never been apart and those dash bezels get so brittle with age I only want to pull it apart once to do the swap.
Thanks

I'd like info on this as well. I found a cluster with factory tach out of a '92 F250. I swapped out my speedo, and installed it into my '95 without any wiring modifications, then the alternator stopped charging. I found a diagram for the cluster, and it looks like Ford still used the charging system idiot light to tell the alt to start charging like on my old '69. The charging system light never came on with the '92 cluster
Does anyone have a pinout, or even a good picture of the back of the '95 cluster I can use to modify the '92 cluster while my original is still in the truck?
To the OP; I wouldn't be too worried about the cluster being brittle. I've had my original in and out three times now, and the '92 cluster twice since I've had it.

You didnt get the airbag buzzer?
I investigated for a few days looking at the wiring diagrams and at the 92 cluster I had, the charging is no problem to fix, but the airbag is a little more involved. I determined that it could be done, but it would have taken modification to the cluster circuitry as well as the harness wiring, I opted to just sell my 92 cluster and I bought one from a 96 bronco. In the end I actually made a little money and I wont always know in the back of my mind that its "rigged".
I managed to get my bezel off without breaking it, In the past no matter how slow and careful I was I always broke a tab off or something lol
Here are wiring diagrams for your referance:

'95 F250's don't come with airbags, and if the buzzer is the same module as the seatbelt chime; well I took that out a couple of weeks ago.
Thanks for the diagrams.
You might have been able to move the 608 pin to an unused light on the cluster; like 4x4 if you have a 2wd truck. Get real involved and scrape off the "4x4", and paint in "Air Bag."
