Can injectors fill cylinders with fuel while sitting ?

I went out to start my IDI after about 2 weeks and when I tried to start it the motor will not turn over right. The batteries are charged. It does need injectors and pump.

Thanks.

Nope, doesn't work that way.

However, if its N/A, water can leak in where the hood meets the cowl. Then leak through the air filter housing directly into the intake and flood the engine.

Thanks, no it's Turbo.

I moved the truck 2 weeks ago and it was fine then just went out to get it going and the motor will barely turn over and it sounds strange while struggling to do it.

The oil level is high on the stick, just wondering if fuel is getting in some how while sitting ?

How sure are you that the batteries are charged?

how high on the stick is the oil level? does the oil smell like diesel fuel? the diaphram in the lift pump may be ruptured and pumping diesel into the oil pan.

you may have a parasitic draw on the electrical system draining the batteries

I know there's a parasitic draw because it's me , Santa you can make this all better by bringing me a low mileage IDI with like less than 10,000 miles OK.

I put some new batteries on it and it will not turn over, should I try and turn the crank with a wrench ? I do not want to drop the starter unless I am sure that must be it but something tells me that is not the problem.

The oil is about 5 inches up on the stick. I already replaced the lift pump too.

yes, i would put a breaker bar to the crank bolt and see if you can turn the engine over.

Well if you replaced the lift pump the fuel must be coming in through either the injectors or the pump correct ?

Something else if you go over one of these engines and do everything right with the fuel system how good are they about keeping air out for like years at a time or is it always a problem with these engines ?

Thanks for replying with the help.

Drain the oil down to the proper level and see if it will turn over. If it does, drop the rest of the oil and then change it and then start the truck.

yeah just figure out why she grew oil and replace the lift pump first if that's what failed too,so it doesn't ruin the oil again.
