In my favorite Richard Dean Anderson clip he doesn't even say anything. (It was actually a gag/blooper)

I guess you would call this a Stargate-Mcgyver "crossover"?

Yep, this one is classic. I have watched it several times, it was brilliant.

Stargate - Macgyver Joke - YouTube

I think the LOL thing has just come to mean "that is funny" But that McGuyver clip actually made me LAUGH OUT LOUD just sitting here on my couch. Of course my employee just showed up and now I gotta get my *$# off the couch and pretend I care about woodworking on wood.

I love the table saw surfacer and will use it on my exhaust manifolds for my diesel.

I started using it back in he '80s with landcruiser straight six combination manifolds. Cast aluminum/cast iron.... They just don't move at the same rate. I think they came warped from the factory. My teflon rod just came on ups and my employee leaves early in the spring because he's a high school baseball coach. I guess I'll just have to see how it machines on my disc sander and router jigs. I think I'll start a new thread about teflon buttons. It will all make sense pretty soon. I need them because the grooves for the circlips are messed up on 3 of my pistons. They are used in severe service engines like supercharged and racing and a lot of harley and indian guys like them too. They are huge in the VW bug world. They are way more expensive than circlips, like 10 bucks each, but can't come out and score the cylinder.

What would McGuyver do??

Great stuff..

Wish there was a regular "What Would McGuyver Do?" thread to help some of us without the 'bells & whistles" machine shop to get the job done.

Thanks!!

Stay tuned! It's way more fun than paying someone. I have turned and trued various truck parts like hubs and drivelines right on the vehicle by using the vehicle itself as the lathe. Where else can you get a portable lathe with 100 hp, variable speed with 4 rpm ranges with reverse? Just assembled the first 4 piston / rod assemblies with my teflon button 'circlips'. I guess I'll have to do the write up tomorrow afternoon. We are starting in the shop at 7 tomorrow......
