88 f250 starting issues!! plz help

I have a 88 f250 5.8 new starter new flywheel new starter relay new battery..But I am still having an issue with starting time to time.. It starts if it has sat for a while but if it runs a while when I cut it off and try to start it again the starter drags... If i let it sit for a few mins. It while start... Any body know anything???

Check your grounds…. clean 'em even if they look good. Make sure all the grounds are still there… some get lost over the years.

So I check all the grounds same issue the positive wire on the battery gets hot to the point the insulation melts at the connector and the starter still drags let it sit for a while it will fire up and run.. smh

Ok this will seem stupid but go get something to insulate between the starter and exhaust (oven mit for testing purposes only and may catch fire if your exhaust system is too hot). The heat from the exhaust system can and sometimes does cause heat related starting issues. If This Helps You Have 3 options wrap the starter or exhaust in header wrap. I don't recommend this. Or get that section of exhaust moved away from the starter. There is a different issue with the heat if it is lean the exhaust is super hot and that could be the added heat that is both causing the starter to get hot causing drag. And or cylinders and rings micro welding causing hard starts.
