It was brought up in the current GTG thread that we should try to get a thread just for GTG ideas and events going on that we may want to try and gather to. Please post up dates, and if you have a link feel free to post it also. Lets give it a shot, I like the idea. Lets keep this to only posting of events and GTG ideas ALL other BS can go on in the BS thread. If someone wants to take one of the ideas and turn it into a GTG just simply start a thread and figure out a meeting point and time.

 

I will start out with this one in August. It is August 22nd. Fundraising charity event for children battling cancer hosted by DC Strong.

 

My clan will most likely be up in traverse for the cherry festival fireworks, we launch jays boat to watch the show. I haven't gone to the actual festival in years, but if there's group interest I'd be game for that as well.

I personally would like to do that again, thinking even if nobody else is in coming and raiding the tiki bar.

 

wasn't the tiki bar packed and moved?? I too would enjoy a Whiskey Creek, or activity such, might need another quad, wife wont ride with me anymore... Aug 22 I am scheduling a bunch of boys camping, July 22-25th I think I am walking a bunch of boys camping. I havent stuck any dates in for the range, but I also am working more weekends.

Has any one noticed the one of the filters at work has been turned off..

August 15th at Silver Lake Sand Dunes is an awesome event that I am going to help out with what I can. It's called Hero's on the dunes, It was started by a few guys and I just got word of it. They have invited 200 wounded warriors and their families out for a day on the dunes, there will be rides in trucks, jeeps and rails, and food out on the sand.

We can still do the trail ride/hill climb on the 22nd in Otsego, but I would really like to get a bunch of guys out to help.

 

Unfortunately I got a wedding to go to that day on the opposite side of the state, I'll keep it in mind for next year though.
