Trying to ID a F750 !!!!!

I'm am looking to buy a F750, notice I didn't say the year, it's vin number is (f75fvr78524) the body style makes it a 73-79, the owner said he is sure it is a 73 with a 370-4v. but I think 77/78 was the first year they put 370's in MD trucks, also under the F750 tag on the sides above the fenders it says custom cab and I don't remember seeing that on ford trucks until 77 and later, bottom line is I've tried looking up the Vin # on line to I.D. the year and engine, and for that matter anything else but get different info. from different sites. Just wondering if anyone might be able to help or point me to a site that can. Thanks
