What is this truck worth?
I'm looking at trading my car for a 2003 F250 Super Duty XLT. It has a gas engine with 195K miles. Automatic, cloth interior. 4WD, Extended Cab, Short bed. Overall in good shape with newer tires.
Known Issues
- Loose steering
- small dent on front bumper
- Passenger side mirror is broken
- Passenger power lock does not pop up
What do you all think this truck is worth? I know it's not a lot of info to base it off of but i've looked around online and have seen prices vary. Figured i'd asked the people that know them well. Thanks

Chicago rust or Phoenix rust?
Known service record or not?
Ever been hit or not?
Trans been replaced? If not its likely ready especially one thats not been serviced. $3-5000 right there.
If its not rusty with a good service record and not been in a major frame wrinkling wreck it will be worth a hell of a lot more then one with all of these issues.
Once you do establish a price you think is reasonable start deducting the cost to fix the above known problems then add it into into your negotiating game.
Another thing Id highly recommend is if you're not a DIY mechanic take it somewhere that can inspect this rig. Somewhere that's familiar with HD trucks. Someone who will pull the wheels look at the chassis etc...not just a quick visual. Even if they want an hour or two labor rate. Money well spent.
A 4 wheel brake job=$700-1000+ (with 4 rotors, without calipers or soft lines).
Ball joints 500-1000
Steering arms rod ends and an alignment 800-1000
Front wheel bearings both sides 600-800
These prices reflect USA made replacement parts and $90-100/hour labor rates at a decent garage.
Mirrors can be costly to replace google that.
Do your home work. If its too much look for a truck that needs less you will be better off.

dang, sounds like one of my past trucks. my "small dent in front bumper" was from parking pawl not fully locking in unless i carefully put it in park. any idea who put the miles on it? does it drive good? power? dents/rust? any oil under it parked or smoking, knocking, pinging? if everything checked out OK, I'd guess $6 or 7,000
