Don't know if their Immigration people at the airport have access to the traffic tickets database. But since there is no passport check at the frontier anymore you can come and go that way without ever being caught. However, we did wrong so paid the piper.

I don't like the choices, but I voted "no" anyway. Not because it would be too big and inefficient though! Diesel fuel just cost too much in America! I lived in Japan many years and bought several diesels there, but fuel cost is a lot less than gasoline. America has messes up diesels for me. Plus, Ford has Ecoboost, don't need nary diesel.

The option should be avalibile and people will buy it, just like how a few are buying the Ram 1500 EcoDiesel. But I can see where it doesn't make any sense to buy one anymore. The emissions on them is killing newer diesels, at least American diesels. VW/Audi seem to be fine far as I know. I haven't heard anything bad emission wise on VW TDIs in recent years. Longevity wise at this point will go either way, especially with diesel emissions the way they are. Other than fuel economy wise you're better off buying a diesel car rather than a diesel truck (apples to oranges)
