is the brake pedal so far away from the gas for a reason?

On all the other vehicles ive driven I can just rotate my heel from gas to brake, on my 76 f250 I have to lift up my foot and place it on the brake as it is too far away. It sits much further from the firewall than the gas. I suppose I should get a picture but does this sound right?

If you mean to redrilll the brake pedal and move it down the shaft then I'm familiar with that.. If there's another way then i dont know about it

My fix for my shin high pedal when I did my body swap

I swear my last vacuum booster had an adjustable rod. Maybe I'm loosing it. If so disregard.

I know my current booster "hydroboost" is adjustable for pedal position.

Bigger set of boots?

I think James nailed it if it's really sitting too high.

Maybe you've got a non stock booster / rod that is pushing it up higher?

It does stop really good and has great pedal "power" feel. It kinda slows down unevenly though at low speeds. Not sure what that is about.

I have never seen, owned or driven a 73-79 with the clutch and brake pedal as low as the gas.....

Sometimes I think the gas pedal isn't far enough from the brake pedal. Honestly officer, my foot slid of the brake onto the gas, thats why I drove through that restuarant window, kiosk, doorway etc....
