2011 F350 lariat
I have a 2011 F350 lariat and one morning I woke up to go somewhere and my truck wouldn't start. It has the 6.7turbo diesel. Wait light won't come on. All fuses are good but the ones under the hood, there is a strip in the middle that has no power to them. On the dash there is a message that says trailer brake module isn't working. It's at ford now, they can't get the truck to recognize the obd 2 to when they hook it up. Can anyone shed light on this before he charges me $1000 in labor looking at stuff.

I can't help you with your problem, but there is a section on this board dedicated to the 6.7 PS trucks and if you post up over there you might get a quicker response:

Thank you both for getting back to me so quickly. Ford called me back and it had a recall and a sensor went out. He informed me that the parts are now warranty for two years unlimited miles. Just thought yall should know. Hwy 171 ford just south of leesville, la is a really good dealership. I would NOT suggest USING THE ONE INE LEESVILLE, LA. Thank you all.

Hunter6146 I see your new to the form, welcome! When asking for trouble shooting advice please provide as much info as possible. To include: year, model, engine, transmission, mileage and how long and at what frequency the problem occurs. You did most of it and I guess we can assume its got the 6R140 trans. Mileage helps zero in on age related problems verses a truck that has 5K miles on the clock.
Secondly be real specific about the problem. Here you did ok. But better describe the "no start". Does the starter motor kick in (crank the engine over)? Or do you get nothing from the starter when the key is turned?
