Congrats! I was scammed on my 88 E350 class C motorhome and the biggest doctored item was the 460. It run decent but did seem a little underpowered but no smoke or noises during test drive. Bought it. Got 2 blocks and engine started blowing smoke & losing power. By the time I got it home 10 miles later it was done. Couldn't even get it to start. In the past I did almost all my own wrenching, had my own little shop and did repairs for neighbors also. But now I am disabled and living in an apt. So I ended up buying a used, but later model 460 for $900 and a shop did the swap for me for $2700 USD. A lot I know, actually used up my savings, but they handled all the problems! My hat is off to you!

Vacuum is vacuum so it's pretty easy, my method for this is to strip it and all smog components off the motor first and then just put back the vacuum lines you require. For a bare bones install that would include the brake booster and distributor only, if you keep EGR then that too but everything else goes away. That butterfly valve in the exhaust need to be wired open or removed, it's one of the stupidest ideas Ford ever came up with.
