sct tunes, any with free changes after u buy?

I bought a sct tuner for my 6.0 excursion. I need a custom tune for it and i ran across a site that gave you free changes with the custom tune. It was more expensive than most of the others($160). But i like the idea of being able to change it if i want or need to for free after i buy it. But of course days of searching and i cannot find it again.
I searched on here alot and read tons of stuff but no luck.
Any help would be great.

Thanks, Brian

I was on the phone with Gearhead. Letting Matt know about the trans I had go south
last winter. It's not there fault but a known Ford defect or should I say bad
welding process. But I was just updating then on it.

I was not expecting any updates let alone for free. But he asked me the date
when I got my unit and said that he had an update that he was going to send me.
So Monday when it gets here I will be installing it.

Matt does a good job and so everyone at the shop also knows how perform
Customer Service. I also found the people over at SCT are just as nice and helpful.
Talked me through doing a firmware update on my tuner so I would have more storage.

For the ones that want to know about the trans failure. Ford uses a process
called "Spin Welding" or friction welding. They need to switch to TIG to weld
the sun gears to the shells but spin weld is cheaper. So we have a few that go bye, bey.
Mine just picked a bad time to do just that. Matt has no control over this and Ihave no
idea how it was used before I got the truck in 2012.

I got my tuner set up and it changed my speedo and shut off my egr. So i do not need a custom tune after all. I did alot of reading and it looked like the changes i needed were not included. Maybe the newer ones are or maybe not on some rigs.
Thanks for the info. Looks like gearhead would be a good place to get custom tunes from though.

Thanks for the info.

SO, if I was in the market for a tuner, which one would I want?

I tried for months to get Matt to correct my 2-3 shift on my SRL tune and gave up.

SCT. You can load extras on the device.

Never had a problem getting things done. I had some odd shifting the first
time I ran the SRL. But the next time I loaded it I had a warm engine and
went out to do the trans relearn and seems to be happy.

The 2-3 violently bangs into gear on my SRL.

I've tried KAM reset, trans relearn, softening the shift thru the SCT. Asked Matt numerous times to correct the shift and Matt refused.

What is somewhat funny is the 8K Tune has a 2-3 flare when first loaded, but the trans quickly learns around it and it disappears

I loaded the SRL last week but have not been on the freeway.
I get some hard shifts but nothing close to a bang.
I am really starting to think our trucks have there own personality
that is different from truck to truck. When I first dropped the SRL
on it was a bit grumpy and now a few days later it settling down.

I am going to run with the SRL on my LA trip and see how it does.
That is IF I can keep my foot out of it.

With all the adaptive strategies and what-not I will reload tunes to get the pep back. The longer I keep a tune it seems the trans end up shifting softer and the turbo introduces some lag. Re-set to stock and then reload and all is well again.

I like the SRL, just wished the 2-3 was normal and not a neck snapping bang into gear.

Might have to load my Looney for a nice Sunday Funday.

Then reload the 8K for the my road trip for Vegas next Saturday.

When is the bang happening, at WOT or normal driving?
