Door Ajar light and interior lights stay on...

This issues precedes the damn squirrels chewing through the fuseable link and an AC connector....

About a month ago and for no apparent reason, the "door ajar" light won't go out and the interior and cargo light stays on (lights stay on until 20 mph or so then go off, come back on when stopped).

I searched and couldn't find anything.

Is there a sticky door switch that is a common cause for this? If wiring, any ideas where to start?

For now I just have the fuse pulled but it controls the windows too (not sure what else), so it's pain ..

Thanks guys!

yup, stick door switch. open the door and spray down into the patch with penetrating oil. then open/close the door about 20 times. re-oil and repeat open/close procedure. this usually cleans the switch.

That was all it took. Thanks for the quick reply and providing the fix!

If you are paranoid like me, you can easily disable this feature with a little mod I came up with

After my switch failed the first time I deemed it unreliable and disabled it, didn't feel like one day arriving to a dome light that's been on for a week.
