Dana 60 spring plate compatability?

Hey just looking for some quick info. I wasn't quite sure where to post as my question kind of crosses a few generations, so I figured the Offroad guys would be more knowledgeable about SAS's.

I have a 1992 F-250HD, that I'm looking to swap a 88 Kingpin Dana 60 into. I'll likely be picking it up this weekend, sadly it does not come with the u-bolt brackets.

I've been reading and I'm told any from like (Fuzzy on start year) 86-97 will be a direct fit, and I'm coming up with nothing thus far. If I have to I'll notch the diff and flip the bolts, I would rather not though if can be helped. I've stumbled upon some 79 u-bolt brackets. They won't work will they? I believe the Leafs were a different diameter just my google-fu is failing me on this question.

not positive on that. if i remember correctly, the 79 used 2 1/2 inch springs compared to the 3 inch 86- 97 springs. they may still work though, i would try one if you can get it cheap enough.

They are like $120 before shipping/duty. I crawled under my uncles truck and took some snap's of his Dana 60 bracket, and I think I'm out of luck on that front.

Here is a link to the 79's.

And my uncle's, without even measuring they look different, the 79 has a ridge that the 86-97 don't have.

I believe I'm still on the hunt, thanks for the assistance.

Those look exactly like the ones I used on my truck when I did a SAS with a late 80's Dana 60. I think I remember that they were from a 79 or something like that as well.

While they are a little different than the later trucks, they worked fine on my truck. Perhaps asking the seller to measure them would be in order if you haven't gotten another solution by now.
