SCT Performance - More Power! Less Fuel!

Put your device serial number in and look for it.

Completely forgot the truck stumbled this morning as soon as I started Iti knew something was wrong. I got out to check the fuel pressure it was right around 35 PSI bouncing a little bit to 37psi after 20or 30 seconds the truck smoothed out and it was fine again

That is still low. You should be looking for 39.5psi or so. Do you have a shop manual for that year?

Hold on what, I thought 30psi was normal? Isn't that what someone told me a page or two back... I have a Haynes repair manual if that helps? My sending/fuel pump is only five maybe six years old the original stop reading fuel level so I replaced it with a OEM one I got at the dealer and my fuel pressure regular is also a new OEM one I installed last September or October so what could now be causing low PSI?

Absolutely everything I can find says 28-45 PSI is in range. Perhaps Chris has a different source?

im not gonna argue but thats very low for a fuel injected motor. heck even Holley or Edelbrock fuel injection systems have to be at a minimum of 70psi

That's very low for a Holley or Edelbrock system. Or maybe even GM, Chrysler, Toyota, Honda, Subaru, Suzuki, and everyone else under the sun for all I know.

But who cares? That has absolutely NOTHING to do with your fuel injection system that was designed by legions of engineers to operate between 28-45 PSI.

Look in the manual and see what it says for fuel pressure.

Any of the above listed can cause low fuel pressure.

No, it is not low for a fuel injected motor.

You are not going to find a fuel injection system that runs at 70psi unless you have a boosted setup.

Why don't we compare fuel pressure at WOT with his truck and my supercharged Mustang. Seems to be a lot of comparing apples to rocks in here....

I believe the Super Duty uses a return style fuel system
