Of course it's going to be normal when it's running right. That's why it's running right most of the time! You need to see what it's doing when it's acting up. If you can't exceed 15 MPH it's affecting more than one cylinder, so a fuel system issue affecting the entire engine is plausible.

That's the problem it's so random how am I suppose to figure out when to check? I'm not gonna wake up an extra hour earlier ever morning hoping it acts up so I can check it with my SCT and hope it has the correct data logging...

Well today I removed the COP's again and the spark plugs this time. Cleaned and checked them over twice and I even did a ohm test on the coils and all eight came to .9 ohm. Checked the connectors for the COP didn't see any cut frayed wires (I didn't cut all the loom off I didn't see the point) removed the IAC. Throttle body and mass air and did a cleaning (even though they were clean) took a good drive came back and did sea foam through the brake booster vacuum line then took another good ride. Hopefully from whatever I did fixes the issue of not I'm gonna ah e to find a shop with a real scanner and pay out my rear to get this solved

OK here is another angle, do you think it is a fuel pressure issue, maybe a fuel pump on its way out. Have you checked pressure ?

Actually my pump/sender is only about five years old. The original would read full all the time so I installed a OEM assembly I got at the local Fird dealer. And yes I've checked the pressure about twenty times and even changed the regulator just because last summer (OEM piece)

Had an appointment at the Ford dealer for Wednesday but that crazy wind storm hit hearty Tuesday and basically shut down my entire area. So I'm gonna have to reschedule, but on a side note two days this week I started the truck and was letting it idle as I put my tools into the bed and after about O twenty seconds the truck just started to have that rough miss sound! Looked at the tach and it's idling normally...open the hood and you can clearly hear/see the motor wasn't normal. It was very shaky, so I just let it go, about fifteen more seconds all of a sudden the idle jumped from 600 to 1000 by itself and the roughness went away then five to eight second later the idle went back to 600 again and it was fine????? Now I'm really lost, truck was at normal idle of 600 and was fine then all of a sudden it went rough and still the tach showed idle of 600... Then it auto corrects itself to 1000 and it works itself smooth? Like what the heck is going on with my girl!

How do you check this?

Start the truck and let it run, look at the passenger side of the motor and you'll see the coolant drip down onto the COP. I've been over all these things multiple times looking for the root to my problem

Are the aftermarket coils? I switched coils to accel and had nothing but problems. Replaced with motorcraft and the problems disappeared. The brand new accel coils were junk.

Have you checked the fuel pressure while it is acting up? Checking it when the truck is running fine does you no good.

No I haven't only because it's so random I can't get it timed right to have the gauge hooked up. And when it acts up like I said above it clears up on it's own during the idle and I can't run into the garage get the gauge and then open the good and try to hook it up fast enough

So find an electric gauge and set that up or tape a mechanical one to the windshield or over the mirror until it acts up

It can't possibly be an oxygen sensor.
