Dumb E4OD question.

Ok guys, heres an easy one.
What happens when you tap the "OD off" button?
Does it kick down to 3rd?
Does it unlock the torque converter?
Does it kick down to 3rd and unlock the torque converter?

d.all the above.
plus
e.locks the converter again.

so in summary you could simply just say
a.turns od off/kicks down to 3rd.

that wasn't a dumb question.dumb would have been not asking it.

drops to 3rd converter stays locked. it can be confusing cuz when driving it shifts quickly to 2nd then to 3rd then the converter locks 1/2 second after that then to OD with converter locked. feels like a five speed some times. when you step down the down the down shift can be with the converter locked or unlocked depending on speed. any speed over 35 or so the converter will try to stay locked, factory converters can experience a weak lockup due to small servo in converter. to feel your converter unlock touch your brake peddle or turn on the flashers, the trans will shift normaly but the converter will not lock....
