Yes, I would think that title issues would occur if I changed frames but if I can't find a place that will straighten my old one.

The shapes of these frames is much less complicated, so one would think a simple fix... I would say a stripped down frame should only be $100-200 at most, but I'm probably too cheap. Won't you run into title issues with a new frame though? unless you were cutting/welding..?
I'd settle for "that guy" about now! Still no shop calling me back saying they can straighten the Frame.

Novak just got back to me, they can't (or won't) tackle it. Contacted James Phillips in Arkansas and he has a frame but one of the crossmembers is cut in half. Thank GOD BigWin56 has one. Guess I'll be picking up a different frame at the SuperNationals. Sure wish I owned my shop. I'd be sinking tie downs in the floor and trying to straighten it myself.

When I was doing the stock cars back in england, we used a "I" beam under the frame and chain in to the frame both ends. Then put bottle jack where the bend is. We could get them perfect that way.

I might give that a Try! Pretty sad if you're a hobbyist with old vehicles that bodyshops only want to do insurance work.

Heading to Super Nationals to pick up a different frame. My plan was to just swap everything from ole 56 on to the different frame because I like the stance.

Ole 56

I got looking at the front spring shackles and springs. I'm sure it's original but I'm not sure the springs nor shackles are suppose to look like this. Any thoughts? I am afraid to put new springs on because I got a feeling it'll significantly change the ride height.
I do have a set of mono 5" drop front springs I guess I could try.

The springs look flat, with no arch. Maybe they were heated to get the drop?

I'd say they're not much for suspension any more.

I dunno, to me, some of those pictures make it look like they're bowed the wrong way.

Well will wonders never cease! Was driving over to the welding parts store and saw a little Bodyshop. Decided it couldn't hurt and stopped with the pictures of the 56. The guy took a look and said NO PROBLEM! So I dropped it off. He called today and said it's done! I'll snap some pictures of it when I pick it up tomorrow.
