Have you wired them up and tried? On your workbench, run a simple circuit from battery to flasher to bulb back to battery.

NOS also often means "Non Operational from Sitting"

Got it. The earlier versions were typically 4 wire and couldn't be incorporated with the brake lights - the reason why many trucks ended up with separate turn signal lights.
