hot rod 94 f150 build up

Ok so I am starting my build thread on the truck finally.

I was given this truck a few years ago by the HR lady at work.

And I was looking for a 5.0 to throw in it an my buddy had a 10.5:1 .040 over 5.0 to trade for the heads off of a cobra that got wrecked.

Here are the specs as of now

.040 over 302
stock E7 heads. For now until I get a set of 11r tfs heads for my mustang then I will put the 170cc tfs twisted wedges on this.
Stock crank
stock rods
F303 cam
stock fox body shortys (just for fit up then a set of after market fox headers)
x pipe from fox body ( this will need to be modified to clear shifter cable and X-member.
2400 or so I've been told stall (bet it's stock stall but for $50 gotta try)

Ok so it's been a bit since I made enough head way to update if anyone is interested. If not I am just doing this thread for me then to keep track of my progress. The rear tank has been pulled out donor trucks tank cleaned and installed. The oil is in it and primed up ready for gas and exhaust. the x-pipe off of the wife's car is not cooperating. It must like it's current home cause I can't back the bolts out of the header collector.

The Typhoon upper is reversible so you could plumb it to the drivers side where the stock truck airbox is. I don't know what throttle cable headaches that may create for you though.

It won't be bad move the cruise control box down to the inner fender and modify the throttle bracket to keep it like the pic. If you flip the intake it sticks the throttle cable towards the front and looks like poo. Also the dip stick would have to be moved and the harness modified more than I had to. As of now I have just move the air temp sensor (2 wires) and mass air (4 wires) the other sensors pretty much slid into place. Ohh I also moved the coil to on top of the ac pump and got rid of the thermactors.

I am making a bracket to hold the modified stock throttle bracket also. I will shoot some pics. Also started getting the parts together to put this s-trim blower on it maybe next spring it will have that and a .060 over 347 in it (353 cu. In.)

I will definitely keep you posted. I will probably start it up Saturday night. So I will have to have the exhaust system modified on it.

I contacted vortech about rebuilding this blower they won't do it because the serial tag was removed from the gear case when it was polished. So I got ahold of "sales@superchargerrebuilds.com" they quoted me $420 for the rebuild. But I think I am going to throw some seals at it and see what happens.

Old seal removed

New seal installed. Guess I need to freeze the gear case and bake the bearing plate tomorrow and see if I can get it together.

Not much done just some exhaust fit up. It looks like I will be modifying the tranny x-member. The plan as of now is to take a double hump x-member from a fox and grafting it into the truck.

Got to looking at the exhaust and Noticed the location of the fuel lines. This may be a problem. There will be about a 6 to 8 inch clearance between the x-pipe and fuel lines. So my plan is to wrap them in header wrap and then put a reflective sleeve on them, that along with a heat shield should be more than enough to keep the fuel cool and safe. I mean people run under chassis headers through there! But in pure me fashion, over engineer so what you do doesn't cause worry.
