87 F250 custom wont shift out of first

I just bought an 87 F250 , the transmission was rebuilt a couple months ago, but it wont shift out of first gear now. Any idea why it wont? reverse works also . It has a standard AOD tranny.

wrong forum, But are you sure its an AOD? If it is first thing I do is check the TV cable adjustment.

The forums here that are more applicable are:

General Driveline: Clutch, Transmission, Differential, Axle & Transfer Case - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums

But yeah, the TV adjustment is a good first place to look. Welcome to FTE, by the way.
