Getting into larger trucks
Hey everyone, im new to the forum here. I recently acquired a77 f250 Highboy that has a good bit of lift and big tires. My wife cannot get into the truck whatsoever without my help and I was wondering if yall had any suggestions on cab steps and or cab handles? Any pictures and information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Use the "Best Man", or a milk crate and a string...the string is so she can pull up the milk crate to use it to get out later....welcome to FTE. lol Jk
The guy that made the one's on the blue truck used drive shaft safety loops welded on to some flat bar stock. AND THEY ARE AWESOME, and I am still waiting on my set. lol Greg.
There is NO one that I know of that makes a bolt on and go set of nerf/step bars for our 73-79 rigs. But it is not that hard to mod a set from a single cab set up.
The set that come's open with the doors are an OEM product, with a little welding shop fab time I am sure a set could be made?

That handle in the 1st pic would need to have some metal plate (big washer) reinforcement behind the dash. IMO

FYI yes those are both easy and cheap ideas, just remember that when getting in the truck that the chain or strap can swing fwd and under the rocker panel and then the rocker panel smacks you in the shin.
And with a really tall truck you need 2 grab handles, cause that door panel finger cup is normally plastic and can break very easy. And then you can destroy you door panel. You can get metal finger cups for 15.00? from LMC.
And believe me even with the strap getting in Earthquake is a challenge, or maybe I am just old? Thanks again Alan for the ride the other day, and for letting me get in it with the grandson at the show.

I just made a small bracket out of angle iron to mount a bully truck step. Looks pretty good and does its job.
